| It is always CYA (cover your ass), "don`t rock the boat" and just get by while doing your job (e.g. Olmert & "all" MK`s/government officials). Some of the current crop of police function similarly. Instead Captain David Shapira (former yeshiva student), who had to push past this/these police, and yeshiva student Yitzchak Dadon were imbued with values of volunteerism/self sacrifice that instilled them with the courage that ended the murder. Time for all of us to examine our devotion to self sacrifice that brought about the rebirth of our country. Would any of us react instantly, ignoring danger to ourselves, at such an emergency? I wonder? |
