| Brad, I am at present time unable to quote you chapter and verse. But the recollection I have is the UN made a declaration regarding a partition of the land. The Arabs said "NO` and wanted to negotiate. They thought the partition was too generous to the Jews. The Jews, seeing their advantage, said "YES" and declared their state. The Arabs, not agreeing and seeing no other way forward towards a resolution, decided to fight. There WAS, then, this provacation. Israel had no right, at that specific time, to unilaterally declare their state. To ignore this is the first of many lies, even to this day. |
