| Meretz reprresentsa very different zionism than the one we see triumphant in Israel and the diaspora today. But they had 5 represnetaives in the knesset and are very sidelined. They have had almost no effect on Israeli policy, either when in or out of coalition governments. They elctorate does not choose them and feelings toward their members....well, all one has to do is read posting here, forget about the vile one will find in JP or Atrutz Sheva. The movement is not toward those who support the self determination of the Jewish People within the borders of Israel. But then, which Israel, whose Israel? The movement is clear: more land for more people. |
