| I`d just like to remind the readers, especially some of the people who have already responded in "Talkback", that the police only have "suspicions" but no actual proof. No charges have been laid (according to my reading) nor has this rabbi had the benefit of undergoing any formal judicial proceedings. Why, then, are readers so quick to judge and draw conclusions? The Mosaic Law reminds us about "bearing false witness" and, in recent times, false allegations with respect to sexual abuse have become extremely common. I think, then, that these are factors which must be kept in mind on reading this article. |
