I don`t feel like MKs Eldad and Ariel. Now, to "disagree" with a profound emotional reaction that is rationally wrong but emotionally undisputable, is unhelpful.
You cannot order them to feel this or that way,
even if politically "they should get over it".
Such imperative commands on their emotions is arrogant, A German.
I agree with you that we should -without forgetting the past- appreciate all both countries have done in the last 60 years, and what they are doing now, to forge this exemplary alliance. But there will be people whose gut reaction is untamable. Get over those people yourself! |
