| I am respecting him, and empathizing with him. To my regret, he is not an intellectual innovator, and remained stuck in the myths and pain of old Eastern Europe. Let us stop the whining. There are very few openminded Jewish or Israeli thinkers. The late Baruch Kimmerling was. And I can not name one other Israeli. But the real intellectual giant of all history was: Ferenc Deak |
