| It really shouldn`t come as any surprise that these seven countries, bastions of freedom of speech no doubt, have decided to boycott the fair. Since when has any Islamic or Arab country allowed for a free press or freedom of expression? I just don`t think they have it in them. We only have to think back to the deaththreat fatwa placed on Salman Rushdie` head, or the riots over the Danish cartoons. It`s obvious that these Islamic countries not only want to censor anyone they don`t like, but will also threaten people with death if they speak out freely or try to publish something that the Muslims don`t like. It just sounds too much like bookburning time in Nazi Germany. So who objects to the term "Islamofascism?" |
