| Withdrawal of the IDF ("disengagement") from Gaza was Sharon`s idea. It was meant as a tactical redeployment of the IDF forces to Gaza`s borders. In this sense it was very succesful. Today the kill ratio is much higher than during the physical occupation and yet Gaza is still fully under Israeli control, as the Israeli population apparently wants it. |
