Considering America`s stalwart financial, military and political help to Israel it would be chutzpah in the first degree for it not to assist in the stablization of the dollar. Israel loses nothing financially because makes large purchases for American military and technology paid for in dollars.
Just finishing a month long visit here I suspect Israel could well fall into a recession led by a fall in consumer consumption. Prices are simply ridiculous. Don`t like feeling being ripped off 24/7. A good example was paying $14 versus less than $7 in America for Listerine at Supersol on erev Shabat.
For many Americans like me helping married children raising families here I deeply resent the falling exchange and unreasonable prices which force me to regularly increase the money I send. |
