German is out, of course. English is out (we failed, along with the American airforce, to bomb the death camps, and of course, turning back refugees from Palestine makes it a definite no-no). Italian? No - Mussolini was one of Hitler`s closest allies. Japanese? No (see above). French? Too many collaborators and folk who helped Hitler to send French Jews to their deaths. Spanish? Franco was a dreadful fascist. My guess is that Merkel will address the Knesset in Gaelic, Portuguese, Polish or Mandarin Chinese.
