| Why does it take so long for our government officials to admit to what the public has long understood? The government will have to give up territory not just freeze settlements (which it has not even begun to do although it undertook to), it will have to compromise on many things it holds dear. It made a shambles of the Lebanon war (and of Lebanon), which it started. We all know these things and lots more besides. If the government now calls it economic slowdown, fasten your seat-belts. |
