| Sadiq--you sound like a reasonable man. Israel represents democracy in the Middle East. Are they perfect--no. But their country, which I ahve visited, is far more free and intellectually prosperous than any of the Arab countries. They are under attack from the Arab governments who fear that their own people may someday wake up and start demanding the same freedoms Israelis have. If that happens, it will mean the end of msot Arab regimes. Thus, they are fighitng for their political life when they atttack Israel in whatever way they can. |
