| 1,700 REFORM CANDIDATES were not allowed to run on the grounds of insufficient loyalty to Islam or Iran`s 1979 revolution. The other storyline on Haaretz since y/day is Israel pondering to ban Al-Jazeera due to their incitinment against Israel. Pondering something and actually banning candidates are two different things. Banning candidates is worse. It`s a done deal. Meanwhile Israel is still pondering and Al-Jazeera is still broadcasting. Where are the freedom of expression crazies today. |
