Mr. Ami Goldman: Which "...Israel`s point of view..." would you have Al Jazeera defend? Now, if the Zionist state of Israel were to adopt a constitution that acknowledged the rights and liberty of all people and guarantee equality w.r.t. the law; if Israel were then to enforce that constitution as the foundational law of the land that no other law could violate - THEN there would be a point of view that Al Jazeera could defend to the Arab world. THEN there would be an example in the M.E. of genuine democracy. THEN Israel might conceivably become a legitimate ally of the U.S. instead of an albatross. THEN Palestinians and other Arabs would not be legitimate in opposing Israel`s policies. THEN Lebanon would probably be an ally. THEN the citizens of Arab countries, thanks to Al Jazeera might have a genuine example in Israel and an ally in overcoming the medieval authoritarian regimes and their radical Islamic fellow travelers.
