I will tell you what "keep them" means. Sometimes, unexpected things happen in our lives. We meet many people, we make mistakes. By ostracising our young people, we create many additional burdens in their lives. We push them out of "our" society into a strange and different world. The Jewish way of life is a good one. Why limit it just to we Jews? By kicking our young people out, whom do we have to blame but ourselves for the next generation? It is difficult to maintain our identy when we have no where else to go. Love is still the strongest force at work in our world today. G-d`s unconditional love for us serves as a reminder of the unconditional love we need to be ready to give to one another, Jews or Gentiles alike. Those who love the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will be blessed... If not by us, then by G-d Himself. Let us teach our children truth and be ready to live, not with fear, but with this same truth. What is truth? The Word of the Living G-d.
