Child abuse has reached critical proportions in both Israel and the Western world; the judicial system simply does`nt have the manpower to cope - hence lighter sentences. However more perpetrators walk free (to destroy more lives) compared to those who are under the watchful eye. These perpetrators come from all racial groups, occupations, religious denominations and soci-economic backgrounds.
This is not just a family issue, this is a grave and very serious social problem and society needs to wake up instead of turning a blind eye. The judicial system in all our nations needs an overhall of it`s laws and treat these cases equally as serious as murder and armed robbery instead of treating rape and child abuse as minor offences while the perperators are treated as victims and the victims as the perpetators!!! |
