The politicians who forbid people to feed the hungry and the judges who sentence those who do it nonetheless are a perfect equivalent in our time. Here in the so-called "Free State of Bavaria" people of Iraqi origin who sent money to their relatives in the period of embargo have been charged with high fines or even sent to prison. Yet humanity will never be erased from the face of the earth. |
