| Whats the truth in this conflict. Originally This land belonged to the jews, then the Persians, the Romans, The Turkish, The arabs. So historically no-one has a definite right to the land. Before israel was Israel, it was palestine, it consisted of Israel and Jordan. It was called palestine NOT because of the palestinians but because the roman empire re-named judea, as palestine. Britain who was ruling Palestine had promised all of it to the new jewish state. However with the war and other influences, Jordan was created for the Arabs, THEN the remainder was broken up for arabs and jew, and Israelis received 1/4th of the original promise. Finally the Arab world attacked an almost un-armed country, and wehn that un-armed country wasnt entirely destroyed and ended up gaining some of its rightful land as described by the opriginal British mandate, all the Arab world cried foul. Israel has a right, and a duty to defend itself against countries who want to murder the only jewish country. |
