I am afraid Hamas and the Jihad would not allow the Israelis to think with what nature has given them just to do that.
The Islamists have already proved, in the past, they have very efficient ways to make the Israeli public think rather with their guts, like, for instance in 1996, when they sent B. Netanyahu - whose last position in an Israeli government had been Deputy Foreign Minister - to the PM Office, instead of Shimon Peres, the pre-election favourite.
