| Yair Ettinger is dead wrong when he asserts that the chasm between national religious and Satmar is greater than the divide between national religious and Yuli Tamir. The leftist, secularist pundits and experts in "Jewish thought" (what a crock) love to crow about divisions in the orthodox world. The fact is that those committed to Torah are bound together and "speak the same language", notwithstanding some admittedly signficant hashkafic differences. It is the secularists and "progressive Jews" who have abandoned the essence of the State of Israel and the Jewish people, and that is why they can`t truly internalize the tragedy of what occurred at Mercaz Harav. |
