This is an unfortunate thing to happen to Central Command. Admiral Fallon`s leadership and care for the troops under his command will be difficult to replace. General Dempsey has big boots to fill.
Bush should consult the Senate and in particular the three Senators who may replace him before appointing a successor. The troops deserve a CENTCOM who will last in the new position for more than a few months. |
