But unlike you I`ve read the Road Map, and I understand that such a failure from the PA does not free Israel from *her* obligations under Phase I, any more than Israel`s failure to stop settlement construction gets the PA off the hook for any failures on the security front.
That`s why America gets to nominate the observer; *HE`S* the umpire who decides who is or isn`t complying - not Livni, Olmert, Abbas, or Qureia.
Israel ain`t gonna like it when *HE* tells Olmert to stop this construction, but, hey, Israel signed up to the Road Map, so Israel agreed that the USA has the last word...... |
