| You all know why Shas wants to kickstart this *new* settlement on the edge of Abu Dis, don`t you? It`s because Shas wants to completely derail the peace negotiations - kill it cold-stone dead - and is getting impatient that it hasn`t managed to do so yet. So it decides upon Abu Dis, because that was the village that Barak "offered" as the Palestinian capital during the Camp David talks in 2000. It was to have been renamed "Qods", and Barak would then "offer" Arafat that farce as his capital city. Shas wants this settlement started so that even *that* insult can not be offered to Abbas this time around i.e. Olmert can not offer Abbas anything other than abject humiliation without the slightest of figleaves. Pathetic. And pathetically transparent. But then again, that`s Shas for you...... |
