They happen at a much lower level in Indonesia & Malaysia, but they still happen; which is why reports about honor killings typically say something about "it being almost unheard of". Of course, Indonesian Muslims are often too busy killing Christians to look at their own families, but to each their own.

As for Brunei, a family run country of less than 400,000 people, with no freedom of the press (rated "not free" & ranked 169 out of 194 countries by freedomhouse.org), an official claim there`s no honor killings just isn`t believable.

Why Muslims try such weak lies, I`m not sure.
