| Shahar Ilan, you seek "piyus", at a time when there is much mutual hurt and anger, and that aim is laudable in itself. Yet I feel deep hurt that regarding the murder of Rabin, you claim a sort of equity between left and right. Indelibly etched in memory is the scene barely a month before the murder: near the government complex in J`lem, a settler protest camp, and nearby the PM`s office, kipa-wearing settler children bearing posters of Rabin in a kafiye, and declaring "death to Rabin"... I do not fault the innocent indoctrinated children... Their parents and teachers were culpable... There is no equity between left and right regarding the untimely death of Rabin... Only honesty and genuine regret would bring "piyus". |
