| bush is interested in nothing more than being able to say: "I tried". We can see today that whenever he said that, he failed and the world is a worse place. Israel is interested in keeping Hamas out of any negotiations and in seeing Abbas weaken. This provides them with a pretext to avoid meeting their commitments to the US and international community. Israel will do all it can to see these two segments of the palestinian people divided. What will be interesting to see in the coming days is, if indeed the qassams stop from Gaza, will Israel still go in with a raid to kill a potential "terrorist" as they have done in the past, which of course will start things all over again. This has been Israel`s pattern and is likely to occur again. Bad habits are hard to break. |
