| Firstly, I am saddened and sickened by this butchery, just as I am disgusted by the butchery carried on by Israel in Gaza. It does not matter whether the victims died at the hands of a single madman or by state-sponsored slaughter, they are all dead and all equal in the eyes of God. We are not to judge. Secondly, I have also noticed the vocabulary choices in the various articles on the slayers and the slain. All Palestinian males around 17 to 19 are automatically disqualified as being "children" or "boys." If they are out there, then they are adults, old enough to fight. However, all Israeli males around those ages are "boys." Technically, is not every Jewish male a man after the Bar Mitzvah? Would that not be any male over 13? |
