The real danger, here, is that Egyptians might follow their Darfurian brothers, in which case, Egypt would look like East Germany, where border guards routinely murdered their countrymen, in an effort to stop them from joining the enemy. However, at least Egypt would be able to say, unlike the East Germans, that the country these people were trying to go to didn`t want them. Of course, this would bring up the fact that the government of West Germany actively encouraged people to leave East Germany and provided considerable assistance to those who managed to get across the border. As Israel doesn`t offer these incentives, it would look even worse, in that your brothers would rather risk death to get into a country, which is controlled by the enemy, and which doesn`t even want them.
