The military needs cleaners, cooks, mechanics, secretarial services, messengers, laundry services and a host of other functions that do not include combat or otherwise require a high degree of technical acumen.
Putting these unfortunate people to work and giving them something from which they can reap personal rewards and satisfaction while serving their fellow countrymen and earning a living is a very noble idea indeed. Go for it.
Heck, Haaretz might even consider hiring some of these people to replace some of their less qualified contributors. |
