I totally agree with Nathanial that the yeshiva students should be castigated for not giving up the free ride. All of them should be in the IDF or National Service.
But -who is Nathanial to criticize any Israeli for not serving in the IDF. He sits in Minnesota (or freezes there) and gives us free advice as to how we should live and what we should do.
My granddaughter (datiya leumit) is now in the IDF. I have two more granddaughters (same religious/national ideology)who will graduate high school this year. They are now considering their various IDF options.
They have numerous friends - boys and girls -datiyim and non datiyim - yeshiva and non yeshiva - who are now serving or considering the options.
Where are you, Nathanial? (Or, where are your children/grandchildren?) |
