| Israel has taken the quiet in the West Bank to indicate submission. It was never that, it was hope for peace. Israel chose to meet the US induced coup against Hamas with total contempt for Abbas. The Palestinians of the West Bank have not seen any improvement in their lives, and have watched the Palestinians of Gaza be subjected to a war of siege intended to starve them. Mister Harel and Mister Issacharoff might like to pretend that the revolt in the West Bank which has appeared in spontaneity as being meaningless. I do not think it is. When you make it very clear to people that you will exterminate them, but you will never deal with them, then unless they are fools, they fight back. |
