Palestinian state!Sure there is!The PLO Declaration of 1988 established that.120 countries recognised it& the Europeans promised de jure recognition in the near future.The votes for admission to the UN are still there.Only expectation that the US would veto,prevented the PLO from pursuing it further.UN Resolution 181 partitioned historic Palestine into 2 states,jewish&Arab Palestine.That Resolution is still in the books,and until israel recognises Palestine,israel`s own legal position is shaky,because 181 is a Trust law,and a Trust is extinguished only when both beneficiaries benefit.Further,israel was admitted to the UN on condition of accepting 181 & Resolution 194,the right of refugees to return.israel has been & still is in non compliance of both UN Resolutions.
