Killing could never be part of jewish religious duty: on the contrary, it is one of the ten key prohibitions of judaism. That statement is nonsense.
Besides, the article you mention speaks of revenge. What kind of revenge is it to use your freedom of movement, to take a weapon and kill defenseless children who are studying in a library?
If the journalist would have wanted to check numbers of Israeli students who combine army service and religious study, he could have taken the journalistic duty to check simple numbers any Israeli institution could provide him in stead of claiming that `it is widely believed`, making it sound like a big dark secret.
Jewish faith is not aggressive to other peoples or religions. If you want information on that, rather turn to a number of rabbi`s from different streams than to one Palestinian journalist who has not taken the time to do just that |
