The objective of the Jerusalem attack is not revenge, as stated, but an attempt to derail any chance for a final agreement between the PA and Israel. The same goes for rockets from Gaza.
The Jihadists seek perpetual war. For them, there can never be genuine peace; just a temporary ceasefire so they can retool and prepare for the next armed confrontation. Yet one day Pals will demand more from life than simple martyrdom, and it`s important to lay the groundwork, even if resolution appears distant for now. |
