| All, This is good news. The commitment to withdraw from the outposts was made years ago. This won`t satisfy the Antis and (of course) nothing will satisfy the Palestinians. Israel went far beyond the Road Map in 2005 when they evacuated settlements that had origins in the 1970`s. The Antis just dismissed this sacrifice. Nevertheless, doing the right thing is its own reward. Israel should not withdraw troops from these areas as well since the Palestinians have demonstrated that a military withdrawal will just result in attacks. I hope a Statement of Principals will be negotiated in 2008 and a peace treaty in 2009. |
