I`M SERIOUSLY CONCERNED about this report, especially about the bomb resistant doors and windows. I suppose there`s no easy answer. Assuming these safety features, this means that any bomb blast will be CONTAINED, making it far more horrific for those inside the bus than normal. If all the doors and windows, plus all the panelling were to be instantly blown out at the very first slight blast pressure, this would dissipate the blast, causing far LESS human damage. At least, one would expect so. It`s well known that during a bombing, windows MUST be left wide open, to minimise outside blast pressure, and shattered glass flying around. The same would apply to an inside blast. So the windows would need to be INSTANT slide down into the instant removable panels. Quite a challenge but DOABLE.
As for the turnstile, yes, good. But a determined suicider could have swallowed explosives with a timed set-off, or had a bomb inserted by surgery with the button under his navel or something.......... |
