| Dear Sir,Why do you write an article without a research. Mr. Benjamin Geissler discovered the murals and made a beautiful film about it. He also discovered an art work "cigar box" made by Bruno Schulz which was handed out to me by the son of Felix Landau. The inlaid box I had deposited at the Literature Museum in Warsaw, where most of the works of Bruno Schulz are stored. I personally believe, that my grand-uncle´s heritage should be in one place, available to everyone who is interested in his art. Jerzy Ficowski and Polish artists admired Bruno Schulz. The world discovered him decades later. Bruno Schulz is Polish artist, he was writing in Polish before 2WW, he died like millions of other people, killed on purpose. My great-uncle wanted to be acknowledged amongst the Polish inteligentsia, that is why he belonged to the Polish Writers Union. He was succesful before 2WW and he died not because he was a Jew, but because the Nazi murderers at that time had a free hand to kill. |
