Khaled Abdelwahhab had risked his own life by offering shelter to persecuted Jews. His corageous feat epitomizes the raison d`etre of the saviours, which goes beyond any cultural, national or religious beliefs. Raoul Wallenberg, the Swedish diplomat who saved 100,000 Hungarian Jews from Nazi extermination was the most prominent righteous, but he wasn`t alone. There were tens of thousands of decent women and men, throughout Europe and Africa, who put their own lives at risk in order to reach out to those who were persecuted by the Nazi monster. It is imperative that we unearth, preserve and divulge their stories. Mr Satloff`s example should be followed, Our Foundation, is devoted to this mission.
