The poor Jews of the Warsaw Ghetto were starved by the Nazis, the Gazans are fed and fueled by the Israelis. The Jews were systematically rounded up and sent - men women and children - to death camps as the Germans gradually emptied the Ghetto. In contrast the Israelis evacuated Gaza of its Jews asking only that the Gazans build a life for themselves and live and let live. The Jews of Europe wanted only to belong to the states in which they lived. The Gazans want - this is them talking not me - to destroy the State of Israel. The Jews of the Ghetto asked (as the Jews of Israel ask today) to live in peace. The Gazans have never stopped attacking Jewish civilians with rockets, RPGs and suicide bombs from their territory - long after the last Israeli left.
Whatever the psychological roots of your antisemitism, the site of proud Jewish soldiers defending their people and land in a justcause makes you to feel faint and ill. Good. God bless the soldiers of the IDF. |
