Anyone who does not realize that Israel talking to Hamas and America talking to Iran is blindly falling for the myth that Democrats, Obama in particular, are bad for Israel. Obama did not say that Israel should talk to Iran. In that case, the same logic would hold, as Iran does not recognize Israel`s right to exist. It does, however, recognize America`s right to exist. Additionally, American leaders have avoided talking to Iranian leaders since the Islamic Revolution in 1979. On the other hand, Israel has spent the last two decades consistently trying to negotiate with Palestinians, even with stated terrorist groups.
It would behoove everyone to think issues through a bit before shouting out their oblivious opinions. |
