Hezbollah and Hamas target civilians. Freedom fighters do not. A terrorist is someone who targets civilians in order to spread terror with a view to accomplishing political goals. You can try to sanitize all you want with terms like "freedom fighters" but these organizations are terror organizations, they go after civilians. The glove fits and fits impeccably.
As to Obama, yes, his logic is incomplete in not including Iran but at least he understands why 32% of Israelies oppose talking to Hamas and the Government stand on this topic. We should all remember that Israel, like all democracies in the world, is not a pure democracy but a constitutional democracy. Government has responsibilities and Obama happens to agree with the stand of Government.
Now Obama has to understand that Hamas is merely an extension of Iran and other states that are comfortable with terrror. |
