| The Jews may have been in Palestine a few thousand years ago, but they were neither the Alpha nor the Omega. The problem the world has with Israel is its assertion that it is the ONLY civilization that called this land home. That is just a blatant lie! The Jews didn`t build Jerusalem, the Jebusites did! In your effort to assert ancient the Jewish presence in the land, you have destroyed or ignored all the other civilizations that have made their mark before and since the Jews arrived. So many different peoples and tribes have passed by and lived in this central area, it is simply preposterous for one group to claim the land exclusively for itself, either Arab or Jew. Nobody can doubt that the current problems started when Zionism proclaimed that it was a land for JEWS - ie excluding all other ethnicities! The Arab rejection of this ideology, no doubt confounded and exacerbated the problem. |
