I am the child of israeli`s and did just what this article spoke about. I remember telling my parents that most of the new olim that I had met were in the same category as me.bAnd number one..How dare you call me a traitor. I love America just as much as I love israel. I chose to fight for the IDF because we are fighting the same war as the American army. All my life I have been hearing about jewish soldiers that gave their lives to protect other jews. To me this felt Noble. Israel needs us more than America. The danger to our civilians is so real. I live in Netanya and it scares me that netanya is just as close to the green line ashkelon is close to gaza. If the west bank fall into the hands of hamas this would be the first place they hit.
I have a good friend serving in Iraq now. From our conversations we have learned that there is absolutely no difference in the jobs we do.FYI-according to American law it is only illegal to serve in a foreign army if it is an enemy state.
