There are very precise rules to separate blood from meat in Judaism and NOT to eat anything that contains blood, even egg with any spot of blood on it, is "unclean" for a Jew. Therefore Toaff should have looked more deeply into his claims. Medical blood transfusions are not forbidden to Jews as lfe-saving measures. I think the truth is there somewhere in between and WITHOUT contradicting the Jewish Kosher-Laws. SO: dig in Toaff! Clarification is needed! |
