There are more Christians in the US than they are Jews in Israel (percentage wise).
The Constitution was conceived of and written by Christians. Don`t confuse the issue though, the United States has a secular government, but it is a Chrisitian nation. We observe most Christian holidays (not Jewish or Muslim) and the vast majority of americans characterize themselves as Christian.
We do have a constitution (unlike Israel) that upholds a separation of church and state (Israel does not) so that our government is blind to its citizens religious affliation (Israel should take note)...but the nation itself is Christian. |
