| Where could I find more information regarding the news blurb about the Jewish players who may not get to play their championship basketball game because the game would be on their Sabbath? I am a university Minority Groups professor and this is a return to the 1920s when Jews were considered a racial group. Today they are considered white ethics. But this news report goes back to treating these Jewish players as inferior again simply because of their religion. Didn?t the administration take this possible situation into account? By changing the game for a day is not a life changing problem. Christians do not respect their Sabbath for we still have stores, restaurants, etc. open. Why punish Jews because they respect their Sabbath and are not want to engage in activities during their holy day? We are the most multicultural nation in the world. Not everyone wants to be pigeonholed. |
