the saturday bus service is a good thing for people and businesses since it allows people to enjoy their weekend and ferries people to where they can transact and prevents lots of people tkaing their cars instead
on the flip side it is nice that the buses stop for a short period from friday evening to saturday evening. that`s one thing i like. however, the decisions should ultimately be based upon cultural (not religious) considerations, economic considerations, and enviromental considerations
if it can be quantifiably shown that lots of people drive into tel aviv on a saturday then there`s a strong argument to keep the bus services running through shabat to bring down the traffic burden. from my casual observations of the pakakim on a saturday that would be the case
chaval but that`s the price of modernity
