The position of occupiers indeed as a general rule of humanity leads to the poisoning of the mind of the occupier. This rot may appear as a side problem that can be dealt with. In fact it is an essential rot that slowly affects the best parts of a nation - affecting the underlying culture, and how it relates to humanity. An example - just an example - is Russia and its intimate corruption in regard to violence.
Recognizing that rot is not coded language for opposition to IDF and the need for a strong defense.
No - it is simply what it is ? a recognition of the terrible cost for all of the occupation. The Israeli government/society must develop smarter methods to address the current stalemate. This is a strategic issue.
The major issue is essentially mental for the Israelis - there are other better, smarter ways for Israel and the IDF to project its force, and address Palestinian violence. |
