| In most civilized countries, a filmmaker such as Michael Moore could not be accused of libel for making a movie criticizing the government. Yet Bakri didn`t even do that! I saw the film - he just interviewed residents of Jenin - never said a thing in the film about the Israeli military nor did he show a single soldier in the film. What has has been perpetrated against him by the Israeli military and government is preposterous and is obviously motivated by bigotry against Palestinian-Israelis - who according to certain of you in Israel are not allowed to criticize their own country - proof that many Jewish Israelis don`t consider Arab Israelis citizens. If a Jewish Israeli made this film, there not be a peep! The hypocrisy is astounding. |
