What is the Israeli government afraid of? The truth?
I had the unique opportunity to be speaking with the Israeli ambassador here (a former general who oversaw the murder of Palestinians at camps in south Beirut) and the South African ambassador. Whenever the South African ambassador discussed the ending of apartheid in his country, the Israeli ambassador dodged the topic and bluntly said that we were not there to discuss racism.
Funny...that Israeli ambassador`s family fled Europe purposely to escape racism. And now he`s afraid to discuss means by which is is being dismantled.
The Israeli government simply wants to avoid the truth of its own racist policies... |
